Reason For Life
(Journey of the Soul, Part4-Soul’s Perfection, Francine)
“What is the purpose of life?” One-third of it we perfect for is ourselves, the other two-thirds is given over for the experiencing of God.

Our Relationship to God
(Journey of the Soul, Part1-God, Sylvia Browne)
What sadistic god, what monster, what horrible Satanistic type of god would put people on an earth only to suffer, go through the pangs of hellfire, damnation, lose people we love, children are hurt, people are homeless, people are crippled?  Do you think it is simply a toss of the dice?  Or if you are not nice, your child or spouse will be taken away from you?  Is all this suffering at the whim of a petty, jealous god?  No.

In rebuttal to the sadistic god image, “psychics” came along and said, “Well, the reason you are suffering now is due to your bad actions in a past life.”  This is not true either!  However, we can bring things to this life related to other lives, such as guilts and fears and all those things.  But very rarely is it ever a tortuous situation.

The pain in life is because we pick tests to perfect our soul.  We have a contract with God to experience His-Her knowledge, test our soul, and become a better person for doing so.  We choose to have problems in order to experience for God.  God did not command,  “You are going to be a victim, wallow in pain, be poor, and have sores on you.”  What kind of parental figure is that?

God said, “If you want to perfect your soul for Me, if you want to be My emotion and experience, you have free-will choice to go into life and endure the School of Hard Knocks for Me.”  And we said, “I love you so much because You are Love.  And if You need me to experience for You, I am going to take that ticket that says ‘patience,’ tolerance’ or whatever, and go down and do a good job.  And I am going to learn, and I am going to bring information back to You.”

We get down into life, and the world filled our head full of all kinds of stuff.  Not the simplistic stuff like God is Love, because that does not make for Big Business.  We must choose to love God, it must be!  The love of God is why I am doing all of this.  But people say, “Look at the pain You put me through God!”  We do not like to be responsible for our actions.  We want to blame someone else, even God, for our misfortune.  Yet on the Other Side, we were so happy when we did it.  “God, I picked a tough one this time.” Or God, “I picked an easy one.”  When we get into human form we get stupid and forget.  We all do.  And we have our memory of the Other Side shut off.  Because if we had the memory still there, it would be easy.  Then there is no test for the soul.

Your contract is with God, you get to perfect your soul, He gets the information you send back.  So we came down the chute merrily into life.  Then we got there, and said, “Oh damn!  This is awful!  I may have picked this course of study but now I don’t want to do it!”  Tough!  You picked it, and must fulfill it, but you could do it with a smile.  Because you are really perfecting for yourself and elevating your soul to God.  Sure it hurts, for awhile.  When we get back to the Other Side it all becomes a vague memory.

You were at the highest point of intelligence to write your plan.  The tougher the stuff you picked, the more your wanted to gain in prestige, honor, and spirituality.  We wanted the Gold Ring.  There is nothing wrong with that kind of pride and love, there is no false ego involved, when we say, “God, look at me, aren’t you proud of me?”  Absolutely.  The same as you are with a child.  You are proud of that child.

The Bible was written in parable.  You should look at these stories as fables trying to show God’s love to an illiterate mass of people.  Trouble is, people took it literal (eg, get swallowed by a whale, stay in the belly and come out alright).  Churches made the loving God into a false god, of vengeance, pettiness, humanistic qualities.  If pure love and pure intelligence exists, it does not have avarice or greed, it does not play favorites, does not have vengeance, and does not make a devil.  Because if God makes a devil, that means He had to have evil within.  Be reasonable.  “Hell” was interpreted in the Bible from the Hebrew “sheol”, which simply means buried in the earth (eg, burning garbage dump).  To the ancient Jew, death is the worst thing that can happen, because they do not believe in an afterlife.

So the early religions said, “Let’s make a god who is vengeful and mean, let’s make a Devil to scare everyone into obedience, let’s make people fear god and convince them they are sinners.  And anyone that tries to challenge our power, we will crucify them.  And then we will tell everybody he died for YOUR sins!”  Some of us replied, “But I didn’t do that to him.  I wouldn’t have done that to him.”  But the Church said, “Yes, you would have, and you did.  And now you have to pay for it.”  To make this even more ridiculous, Christ did not really die on the Cross.  The Dead Sea Scrolls confirm this.

We are the true Christian, because we follow his teachings.  We do not need him to die in order to be great!  The terrible horror he went through on the cross is not needed to validate his teachings.  Please approach your religious and spiritual beliefs with knowledge.  Do not ever approach anything with blind-faith.  Never approach it with guilt.

God is Love.  You came here to fulfill your contact, which you will do whether you like it or not.  All of us will face hardship and tragedy, I know I have, and so will all of you.  But we are all going to graduate eventually anyway.

Francine says that time is speeding up, because we are getting to the end of things.  And please forget about the “rapture”, because Christ does not want to come down here anymore.  Would you?  When the Messiah “comes again”, it will be in the form of True Thought.  He is not going to appear in the sky with a sword.  Why would he appear with a sword?  He was the most kind, loving person in the world.  He is supposed to slash the Bad on the left and take the Good on the right?  Nonsense.  What kind of God is that?  What if you were born in Africa and never heard of Christ?  You cannot tell me that God hates those good, wonderful people.
