Lexicon of Love

The word 'love' has many roles of the 'parts of speech':

1) Noun – A noun is generally defined as a person, place, or thing. Intangible things, like ideas or love, which cannot be seen or held, can also be nouns.
 "I am in love with her"
 "He should be fine with a little love and care"
 "You are my first love"

2) Adjective – An adjective modifies (limits or describes) a noun.  Also known as Noun Phrases.
 "Love Affair"
 "Love Birds"
 "Love Letters"
 "Love Triangles"

3) Verb – A verb is a word that describes action or a state of being.
 "I love her"
 "I love my mother"
 "I love the country life"

4) Adverb - An adverb modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
"They smile lovingly at each other"

5) Preposition – A preposition shows the relationship between a noun or pronoun and some other word in the sentence. Prepositions express spatial or temporal relations (in, under, towards, before) or mark various semantic roles (of, for).
 "Love of money is the root of all evil"
 "I have nothing but love for my children"
 "For the love of God, why did you do that!"
