The Apostolic Age

The Apostolic Age is the period of the Twelve
Apostles, dating from the Crucifixion of Jesus until the death of John the Apostle in Anatolia (~115
A.D.).
The period between the death of John the
Apostle and the First Council of Nicaea (325 A.D.) is known
as the Ante-Nicene (“before Nicaea”) or Post-Apostolic period. Christianity during this time was extremely
diverse, with many developments difficult to trace and follow due to a paucity of available
material.
